Day 5 with Chap in Rocky Glen (2nd Safari)
Excited about checking our baits we woke up thirty mins earlier and had a bite and cup of coffee. The young male came back and polished off the impala. Three of our other baits had been hit by females.
We decided to call the hyenas. Got to a good spot and put on some hyena feeding frenzy...We had fed hyenas here before six we knew they were around. Got the radio sorted and dark fell. Waiting an extra half hour then we started calling. Within two minutes we had a reply from a hyena. Ten minutes later we saw eyes and my client let a round off. He hit it in the lower jaw and into the chest. Dropping in its tracks. It was a big male hyena. A great evening
