Day 2 with Mike in Matetsi (3rd Safari)
It was a very frosty morning as we set off. We picked up 2 good bull tracks that had entered the hunting area. We packed lots of water and off we set. We tracked for 6 straight hours, till we caught the bulls fanning themselves under some tamarind trees(tamarindus indica). We quickly checked the wind, got our selves into position, only to dicover both bulls, had broken tusks.we backed out slowly leaving them undisturbed. The long haul back to the truck was un eventful and conversationless. Disappointment was the taste for the day, but thats why its called hunting. There is always tomorrow.
